associates who are invested to resolve built spaces through innovation.
Studio Crypt was established in 2018 with the objective to make sustainability and luxury design
accessible without commercial barriers. Passionate for the vibrancy of indigenous arts and
vernacular architecture, their works seamlessly amalgamate luxury, energy and material efficiency together, delivering impeccable designs. In a short span, the firm has managed to accomplish remarkable works with a wide spectrum of works, exemplifying the outlines of their design philosophy. The projects undertaken by the studio, demonstrate their notion of creating understated luxury and ambient styles
with locally sourced economic materials.
Studio Crypt has been involved in designing various notable institutional, residential,
and commercial buildings in India and New Zealand. Some of the accolades received by the firm
include; their competition project awarded Jury’s Honorable Mention (Archdux 2018), their Principal and Partner Shivani Khanna was also awarded the WEAA (Woman Excellence Achievement Awards)
in 2020 for Architecture Category and their works were featured in Interiors & Décor, The Magazine & the Architects in March 2020. They have also been featured by IFJ.
Intending to break the misconception of ‘luxury for the rich’, the team at Studio Crypt is on a mission to design affluent buildings and spaces. They also undertake development opportunities for rural areas, with the
most recent being designing the Sainik Dwar for the village of Kutubpur in U.P. They understand,
embrace and vocalize the sensitive responsibility of the architecture fraternity towards sustainable and
efficient buildings and spaces. Other distinctive projects completed by the firm include residences in
Gurugram based on recycling and art, farm residences in Delhi, Cuboide & Cuboide 2.0- Industrial buildings in
Okhla, Among the Pines- a Luxury Residence & Hotel in Himachal Pradesh, Carnatic Retreat- Resort
in Kabini The Kiln-Retail Complex- Faridabad, and Multiple Housing projects in Auckland,
New Zealand; with the scale of all their projects ranging from 2500 sq.ft. to 55000 sq.ft.
