A returning client, wanting another project in the vicinity of Okhla itself. This time around the brief was similar to their previous building, but was required to have a striking elevation to attract high end rental clientele.
In order to engulf the requirement of a fascinating exterior, the façade is first wrapped in glazing with a secondary louvered skin in Corten steel. This would ensure the building appears different as it ages. It also ensures the building is shaded, a double envelope structure is known to be effective and efficient in terms of energy utilization when compared to a conventional building of similar scale. The double skin allows for cool air to be entrapped in summers whereas it acts as an insulation buffer in the winters keeping the inner envelope temperature moderated. Keeping up with the primary requirement of extracting maximum area along with evolved features on the exterior, the building defines a progressive Cuboide 2.0.
